When Monique was a child, she had many dreams - becoming a doctor, studying oversea, having a professional careers. But only one dream became true which was to study oversea.
She came from a bourgeois family which caused her to have ability to study in Canada. Unfortunately, her family had a bankrupt after one year she came to Canada, so she was on her own completely. She threw herself in melancholy after she was informed. She was helpless, because she never did anything without her family’s support and never thought that she could overcome the barriers.  However, the situation left her no choice, so she dropped out her school and then went to Vancouver to work with a partner.
There were many obstacles when she arrived in the city. Her partner wanted to live alone which meant she had to find another room to rent. She knew nobody and was very tight on money. She couldn’t apply for the work permit as an international student at that moment which meant she had to find a cash job. Despite these barriers, she didn’t give up. Withstanding the situation she has didn’t mean she could overcome the problems so that she would be never entangled with them. The difficulties run into her one after another.  Even though, she still believed in herself. Finally, she found a job and then worked hard in order to keep on her study one day. After one year, she cumulated enough money for the next semester. During this year, she became a resolute person and gained a lot of experience from life. Since then, she started to work and study at the same time. Five years later, she eventually fulfilled her bachelor.
Now Monique has a new dream as life goes on. She wants to change her career – becoming a database administrator.  she trusts herself that this dream will also come true.
